The Importance of Diet

Nutrition and Diet take on a far more important role as we get older, long gone are the days when we can eat as much as we want and rely on our metabolisms to take care of those extra calories. This is even more important if you are going to undertake a new Fitness regime.

Depending on the type of Fitness regime you are undertaking will go a long way to helping you decide what your diet should be like. You should plan your regime so that you know whats coming in the following few day. For example if you knew that you had a long bike ride coming up at the weekend , for 4 days or so before you should be eating meals where 60-70% of the calories came from carbohydrates. You would also need to ensure you had the right kind of food to eat during the ride.

Nutritional supplements are something that you should also think about as we grow older our bodies needs changes and with the right balance of vitamins and minerals you will help to ensure a healthy and happy life.
